AppsAnywhere lets you choose how to deliver apps (i.e. the delivery method), set who has access and to which apps, control which devices get which apps, and set software licensing restrictions. Application delivery methods

Application virtualization or VDI may not always be viable or may not be the most effective tool for delivery. If a piece of software is already installed on a machine then launching the already installed app is likely to be the most efficient option! AppsAnywhere is capable of utilizing traditional delivery methods for efficiency whilst maintaining a stellar user experience.

Smart Prioritization

There's more than one way you'll want to deliver apps, so we've developed Smart Prioritization. Set multiple delivery methods for each app and order them in terms of preference. AppsAnywhere then chooses the best way of delivering the app to the user, based on a variety of factors such as device type, operating system, geographical location and whether a machine is user-owned or managed.

The best part is, all the students see is one 'Launch' button, and everything else happens in the background. Students have enough to think about, without needing to choose between complicated software delivery methods.

Once you've chosen each app's delivery method (Cloudpaging, Parallels RAS, RemoteApp etc.) you can set how the apps are provisioned, guaranteeing you comply by licensing restrictions. Through AppsAnywhere you can provide or restrict access to apps using geographical location, students' courses, or what they're using to access the apps (e.g. OS, device type or user-owned machines). You can also set requirements for license verification on an app-by-app basis – such as having a specific piece of software require a network connection periodically.
