On 28th November the S2 User Day went to Lancaster University, bringing together universities from across the country to discuss AppsAnywhere, Cloudpaging and virtualization best practices, and to showcase the latest and upcoming AppsAnywhere updates.

This December, AppsAnywhere is celebrating its first birthday, and during that time we've continued to bring out feature releases that further help how university IT deploys apps. Highlights we’ve announced in the last 12 months include VMware Horizon and Parallels RAS integrations, multi-lingual support, a user welcome tour, and Azure AD single sign-on (SSO). It's always great to be able to share these updates with the AppsAnywhere Community at events like S2 User Days.

In our latest AppsAnywhere Community event at Lancaster, university IT teams from all over the UK (and even further afield) came together to discuss their future and present challenges (including Windows 10), and how AppsAnywhere has revolutionized how they deliver applications using virtualization.

Highlights from the S2 User Day at Lancaster University

This year, we focused on how far AppsAnywhere has come and where it plans to go in the future, with all-new partnerships with Parallels RAS and our upcoming integration with Citrix. We also got to hear how Lancaster University first got started with AppsAnywhere, how they migrated to Windows 10, and how Durham University are planning to use Parallels RAS to deliver any app to any device, whilst improving their student experience even more.

Customers continue to come together at the S2 User Days, benefiting from outside insight, expert advice and best practices from others who have 'been there and done that'. Check out our short video (above) from the day, and we'll be sure to let you know more about our future S2 User Days for 2018 in the New Year.
