Webinar Recording: AppsAnywhere integrates with Parallels Remote Application Server
In this webinar recording you'll learn how AppsAnywhere and Parallels RAS combine to enable higher education IT to deliver any application on-demand.
Thanks to AppsAnywhere's integration with Parallels RAS (Remote Application Server) you can deploy 100% of applications on-demand to any device, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Chromebooks. This integration also supports the on-demand delivery of virtual desktops, at a fraction of the cost of traditional VDI solutions.
Parallels RAS integration
Parallels RAS is a remote application and virtual desktop solution. By allowing software to run on a remote Windows server, we can deliver apps through AppsAnywhere using either the local Parallels client (available for both Windows and macOS) or the HTML5 client, which can deliver apps to any device running an HTML5-compatible browser.
Thanks to this integration AppsAnywhere can deliver Windows app to any device, including iOS, macOS, Android and Chromebooks! And we can also use Parallels RAS technology to deliver desktops to students, too.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) has been a hot topic of computing for over a decade now. In higher education however, it can be a complex set up. See how UK universities are conquering student BYOD.
Like many other universities, Pitt State originally chose VDI as the best solution to deploy apps to students. After realizing that performance is patchy and costs are astronomical, the university sought another technology.
With the release of AppsAnywhere v2.3 we've built a deep integration with Parallels RAS, enabling IT to deliver both apps and desktops, as well as supporting Chromebooks with HTML5 delivery.
