Your membership account

Visitors may post reviews, comments, and other content: and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of "spam." Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content, but does not regularly review posted content. Risk of loss

All items purchased from Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This basically means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. 

Product descriptions

Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. and its associates attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.

Applicable law

By visiting Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc., you agree that the relevant country, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. or its associates. 

Disputes

Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. or to products you purchase through Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in the relevant country except that, to the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate Software2 Ltd and Software2 Incs intellectual property rights, Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state or federal court in the relevant country and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Arbitration under this agreement shall be conducted under the rules then prevailing of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrators award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise. 

SITE POLICIES, MODIFICATION, AND SEVERABILITY

Please review our other policies, such as our Shipping and Returns policy, posted on this site. These policies also govern your visit to Software2 Ltd and Software2 Inc. We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Conditions of Use at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

Support Services Specification

Part 1 – First and Second Line Support;

The Licensee will supply first and second line support for the Licensed Software, as part of this Agreement

Part 2 – Third Line Support;

Software2 will supply third line support for the Licensed Software as described below.

The Licensee will designate a maximum of three contacts within the Licensee’s organisation to access Support; Only these three contacts will be permitted to contact Software2 or the Software Provider in respect of Support.

Service Level Agreement:

Support (including without limitation the use of reasonable endeavours to fix an incident) will be provided in respect of the Licensed Software only, and only between the hours of 9 am and 5:30 pm GMT on Business Days (“Business Hours”). Whilst Support requests can be submitted outside of Business Hours, responses will only be provided during Business Hours (and subject to the Response times listed below). Extended hours for telephone and intervention technical support may, upon request from the Licensee in respect of any incident, be provided by Software2 at an additional cost.

Incident Levels:

  • URGENT - An Urgent priority issue is an emergency condition which renders the Licensed Software or residing system inoperable.
  • HIGH - A High priority issue is a condition which makes the use or continued use of any function difficult and/or causes serious limitations to the use of the Licensed Software.
  • MEDIUM - A Medium priority issue is a limited problem condition which is not critical in that the system remains operable.
  • LOW - A Low priority issue is a minor problem condition or documentation error which can be easily circumvented or avoided.

Software2 will provide an initial response to an incident, and shall commence using reasonable endeavours to fix an incident, within the timescales mentioned in the following table:

Licensee shall identify the priority level of an incident upon reporting the same to Software2. The Response times above are calculated from the time of notification of the fault or (if later) determination of the priority level of the fault. Commencement of the time period for reasonable endeavours to fix the fault starts when the Licensee has provided the information required by Software2 in relation to the incident (provided that the relevant priority level has been established). Software2 will accept the priority level allocated to an incident by Licensee unless Licensee’s priority level allocation appears to Software2 (acting reasonably) to be incorrect, or if the notification of the fault to Software2 does not state the incident priority, in which cases Software2 shall allocate a priority level to the incident.

The time periods for responses and using reasonable endeavours to fix faults shown above will be ‘suspended’ for so long as any information or access requested by Software2 is not provided by the Licensee.

If an incident is deemed as ‘Urgent’ then this must be notified by Licensee to Software2 via phone AND email.


Packaging Subscription Specification

General terms

Software2 packaged apps are created with Cloudpaging Studio for deployment to Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 and above. To use the apps requires a currently licensed and supported version of Cloudpaging Player.

All packaged apps are priced in Software2 Packaging credits. Costs are per appset (i.e. per app version), unless otherwise shown.

All apps are packaged with a default configuration, according to Software2 Packaging Service conventions. Bespoke configurations can be provided at an additional credit cost which must be agreed in advance of any packaging work.

The packaging subscription is a service that renews as per the term of the customer license agreement.

Core subscription

An annual service subscription is required for access to all Software2 Packaging Services. This covers service setup and administration, and project management over the course of the year.

A minimum of 30 Free and Open Source apps are included in our Core subscription ready packaged. The list of Core subscription apps is set by Software2 and is published to our web site.

Software2 reserve the right to change the apps included in our core subscription each year, and if necessary, at any other time. For example, if the vendor license for an app is changed such that we can no longer provide a package.

Updated packages for our Core subscription apps are provided every 3-6 months.

Free open source software (FOSS): The Licensee may request an additional 10 FOSS packages to be created each year. Any FOSS packages Software2 create are shared with all subscribers.

Plus subscription:

In addition to all parts of the Core subscription, a Plus subscription includes 6,000 packaging credits each year, which can be used to request the packaging of any apps from our packaging menu, and/or to pay for bespoke configurations.

Packaging menu:

Our menu of pre-selected applications offers the best value with discounts available at quieter times of the year. Apps are grouped into bands with the cost in credits as follows:

The cost of a package is confirmed as soon as the required information to package the app has been provided i.e. before work commences.

New versions of apps, along with updates to apps, are not included in the quoted credit price. Costs are per package, and any updates or new versions of the apps will be provided at an additional cost.

Service level agreement

Access to our Packaging Services is via an online self-service portal. Core Subscription apps are available for immediate download in STP format, ready-to-deploy.

Requests for all other packages will be verified within 2 days and the packaged app provided within 4 weeks of a verified request.

Media and licensing:

It is the Licensee’s responsibility to provide the installation media and a valid and applicable license to be included with each package.

If access to a license server is required to install or configure an app, this must be contactable over the internet, or via a Licensee provided VPN connection.

Off-Peak pricing can only be applied if the media and license information provided can be used to successfully install and license the app within the Off-Peak period.

Deliverables:

Once packaged, Software2 will provide an appset in STP format, ready-to-deploy with Cloudpaging. A recipe and project file (STW) will also be provided.

UAT and warranty:

Software2 include a 90-day warranty as standard for apps packaged through Software2 Packaging Service. Issues with provided packages within 90 days should be raised using a support ticket. Changes to app configuration (such as updates or the addition of plug-ins etc) will carry an additional credit cost.
