The highlights from AppsAnywhere's User Day with Hochschule Aalen

Thank you to everyone who made the journey to Hochschule Aalen for our first German AppsAnywhere User Day in over two years! COVID-19 has massively impacted events across the world, so we are beyond delighted that we have finally been able to meet so many of you in person.

The one day conference got off to an excellent start by spending the night before with a traditional get together at Aalen Beer Hall. The next morning feeling refreshed people arrived bright and early ready for a full day of demonstrations, Q&A sessions and most importantly community interaction.

The day began with a warm welcome from Hochschule Aalen’s Prof. Dr. Ing Weidner as he proceeded to demonstrate the university’s use of AppsAnywhere over the past two years.

After a brief coffee break, Volken Bremers from Siemens DI Software demonstrated how Hochschule Aalen had essentially created their own digital toolbox by using AppsAnywhere to deliver Siemen’s Software Suite to students. This was followed by a company presentation delivered by Edward Van Rensburg, Managing Director for our German Partnership. The presentation included useful insights into the 2.11 update as well as new features, best practices and use of our Analytics feature.

It was so great to see our valued customers in-person after so long, and to hear what successes they have achieved with AppsAnywhere in these challenging times. We saw that the personal interaction between customers was the big win; Customers helping each other to achieve even more with AppsAnywhere!

We concluded the presenter lead sessions with our Co-Founder Tony Austwick. Tony discussed our extremely exciting and ongoing journey to become the central platform for students to access all of their university’s apps in a single click, anywhere, anytime.

We then opened the floor for a lively Q&A session with the audience, which happens to be our favourite part of the day. Our User Days are a great opportunity for us to learn more about how AppsAnywhere is being used by IT and students from across the globe. We're always keen to get your feedback, ideas and feature requests for the future, as some of AppsAnywhere's most-loved features have come directly from these jam-packed days.

Not only that but an AppsAnywhere User Days offer the chance to bring together some of the best minds in higher education IT. It’s not just about hearing our story or even the host schools, but to network and hear each others.

We would like to thank Hochschule Aalen for hosting this event and to everyone who attended. This event marks the beginning of a new phase post COVID-19 in which we have many more events lined up, not just across Europe, but the entire world!
